This is a simple machine to clean. Most of the chulux coffee maker parts are removable so you can give it a thorough, deep clean after every few uses. There is a need depending on your water hardness to descaleas and when required with standard coffee maker descaling solution.
There’s a drip tray that slides out at the front and this is really easy to remove and empty. The drip tray stays firmly in place while you’re using it but if you lift it up to grab the underneath then there is some play when you push it back down again. This doesn’t affect performance however. The drip tray is removable to cater for larger mugs as well.
Cleaning the coffee outlet also needs to be done periodically which requires the use of a paper clip or toothpick to dredge out any coffee residue in the four holes within the outlet. Thankfully this does not need to be done often but it will keep your Chulux in perfect working order.
Finally, its recommended to use filtered water in the Chulux as it does not have a built in charcoal water filter. It has a rudimentary filter in the water tank for collecting any debris in the water but that is it.
